Date: 2016-02-25 (09:30-15:00) Location: Room K102, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Gjøvik, Norway

Organizer: Norwegian Information Security Laboratory (NISlab) in cooperation with the Center for Cyber and Information Security (CCIS) and the European Association for Biometrics (EAB)
Attendance if free of charge, Registration is required!

Research in biometrics has been increasing over the last few years. More and more companies are founded that specialize in offering biometric solutions. New biometric modalities have been investigated in the near past. Major companies are integrating biometric solutions in consumer electronics.

What will be the trend in biometrics in the (near) future? Will there be more booming modalities? Will there be a more widespread use of biometrics? Will biometrics become as common as passwords? In other words, what is "THE FUTURE OF BIOMETRICS"? Speakers from academia as well as from commercial and governmental organizations will give their opinion on this issue. In a panel debat at the end of the day the audience will have the opportunity to ask critical questions to a panel of experts.
