Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) ranks among the most controversial and challenging topics in the identity industry. Foundational to trust, a modern identity system must at a minimum detect fraudulent spoof attempts while enabling convenient, accurate identification and matching. Most biometric PAD systems are quite simple in concept but dramatically complex in execution. During this talk, Andrew explores the journey Integrated Biometrics took from early trials and errors to the modern successful ecosystem of technology they deploy. By examining this specific case study within fingerprint biometrics, the audience will take away general principles broadly applicable to the identity industry.
