ISO and the New ICAO Passport 2025 Standards

The next generation of passports will incorporate cutting-edge security features, adhering to international travel document standards as defined by ICAO Document 9303 and European Regulation No. 2252/2004, amended by European Regulation No. 444/2009.

These new standards include advanced security measures to combat fraud and forgery. Understanding these enhancements is crucial for security professionals, border control agents, and law enforcement officials to stay ahead of potential threats and ensure the authenticity of travel documents. Additionally, the travel and aviation industries need to adapt their systems and procedures to align with the new passport standards, which involves updating check-in systems, security protocols, and customer service practices. By staying informed about the ICAO 2025 passport standards, experts across various fields can ensure a smooth transition, maintain security and efficiency, and support international travel and cooperation effectively.

This two-day workshop will also feature discussions by experts on various topics, including Face Image Quality (29794-5), ISO/IEC 39794-4 (Fingerprint Image Data), and Presentation Attack Detection (30107-1 and 30107-3), among others.
